The Onwarder Google Play listing is in review. There is no hosted APK beta to install.
Write in your browser today
Open Onwarder Studio on your phone. You do not need an account. Your browser keeps your writing on this device; save a copy to a file before clearing browser data.
The steps below describe the Android app for when it is available.
Start a book
- Tap New book.
- Type a working title. You can change it later.
- Tap Start writing.
Along the bottom are three tabs: Write for the page, Story bible for your characters, places, items and factions, and Book for chapters and scenes, drafts, export and the rest. Tap the scene’s title at the top to see the scene list. Books takes you back to your library.
Where your books are kept
Books you start on the phone are saved on the phone as you write, with or without a signal. Uninstalling the app can remove them, so keep a copy:
- In your library, tap Settings.
- Tap Storage and backup, then Save a copy, then Save library to file.
- Choose where to save the file.
To bring in books saved on another device, tap Open a copy in the same place, then Open an Onwarder file. For a Word or text manuscript, tap Import in your library.
Exporting on Android
When you export a book, you can share it with Share Word document (or Share EPUB, Share PDF) to send it to email, a messaging app or a drive, or choose Save to phone to pick a folder. See Export your book.
Cloud
You can use Onwarder Cloud in your browser today. The Android app will be linked here once the Google Play listing is live.
